Frontend Software Engineer
The job description
Tech stack. React, TypeScript, modern CSS, state management, frontend testing (Jest, Cypress), performance optimization, accessibility standards (WCAG), design systems, build tooling
About the role
You will build the user interfaces that define how customers experience the product, working where engineering craft meets human perception. Frontend engineers here own the complete client experience: component architecture, state management, rendering performance, and accessibility. You will collaborate daily with designers to turn mockups into pixel-faithful, fast, accessible interfaces, and you will sweat the details that users feel but cannot name: smooth animations, instant feedback, and layouts that work beautifully on every device. Great frontend engineering is invisible to users and immediately obvious to other engineers.
What you will achieve
- Ship polished, responsive user interfaces from design mockups to production, matching design intent while handling real-world data and edge cases gracefully
- Deliver measurable frontend performance improvements: faster load times, smoother interactions, and better Core Web Vitals scores backed by real metrics
- Build reusable component libraries with clear APIs, thorough documentation, and tests that accelerate every other frontend engineer on the team
- Achieve genuine accessibility compliance with WCAG through semantic markup, keyboard navigation, and screen reader testing, not checkbox claims
- Reduce UI bugs systematically through comprehensive testing: unit tests for logic, integration tests for user flows, and visual regression coverage
What you will bring
Must-haves
- 2 to 5 years building production web applications with modern JavaScript frameworks, primarily React, at real user scale
- Strong TypeScript skills: typing complex component hierarchies, API contracts, and state shapes correctly and maintainably
- Deep CSS knowledge: layout systems including flexbox and grid, responsive design, animations, and cross-browser compatibility
- Experience with state management patterns such as Redux, Zustand, or React Query, chosen appropriately for the problem at hand
- Familiarity with frontend testing: Jest or Vitest for unit tests, Cypress or Playwright for end-to-end user flows
- Understanding of web performance: bundle optimization, code splitting, lazy loading, and rendering performance profiling with devtools
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with design systems: design tokens, theming architectures, and component API design for large organizations
- Familiarity with SSR/SSG frameworks such as Next.js and their performance and SEO implications
- Knowledge of accessibility auditing tools and assistive technology testing workflows
- Experience with data visualization libraries such as D3 or ECharts for dashboard-heavy products
