The job description

Tech stack. Motor selection and integration, actuator design, gearbox design, power electronics interface, sensor integration, SolidWorks, thermal analysis of electromechanical assemblies, dynamometer testing, sealing design

About the role

You will design motor-driven systems at a company building electric actuators for agricultural equipment that operates in dust, mud, vibration, and temperature extremes for thousands of hours per season. Your assemblies convert electrical power into reliable mechanical work: motors, gearboxes, housings, seals, and position feedback working as one integrated unit. You will select and integrate motors, design the complete mechanical power path around them, and validate every actuator against torque, speed, efficiency, and life requirements on dynamometers and in field trials. You will design products that blend mechanical and electrical systems, from motor-driven mechanisms to sensor-integrated assemblies. Your designs will manage the thermal, EMI, and packaging interactions that make electromechanical integration challenging. You will prototype rapidly and test thoroughly, because the interfaces between domains are where surprises live.
