Blitz’s mission is to defend the West against suicide and surveillance drones. We are a fast- growing team urgently pushing to prevent the mass destruction of LNG facilities, data centers, and airports – currently occurring in the Middle East, Ukraine, and Russia, and likely soon throughout the world. We are building the world’s first scalable Directed Energy system.

Investors include Also Capital and Valor (backer of all of Elon Musk’s companies). We are still in stealth – more information when we meet.

Blitz is seeking an experienced Head of RF Engineering to design and evaluate the RF chain of the product. We are looking for evidence of extraordinary ability, bias towards action, and first principles thinking.

We are located in Hawthorne, CA. Remote options are available for top candidates.

About the Role

• You will work on the most critical civilian infrastructure product and high-power RF challenge today
• You will refine and own the full RF chain (drivers, amp, antenna, etc.)
• You will be working in a hands-on lab environment with power electronics and RF equipment
• You will work on novel EMI/EMC problems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related discipline
• You have designed RF frontends, are an expert at HFSS, and have developed antenna system architectures
• You have a track record in RF system design, antenna systems, and electromagnetics
• You can work with urgency and in a startup environment
• You believe defending the West from drones is the most important and challenging problem

Profile Qualifications

• Must-Haves:
• RF generalist background (5-10 years experience)
• Understanding of entire RF spectrum, not just ASIC design

• U.S. citizenship (strongly preferred for future security clearance)
