RF Architecture Lead
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Define and lead the RF architecture for next-generation devices, ensuring best-in-class connectivity and regulatory readiness.
Own system-level RF performance across cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, and other wireless technologies.
Establish antenna strategy, placement, and integration in partnership with mechanical and electrical engineering teams.
Drive RF design considerations early in the product lifecycle to influence device architecture and prevent late-stage constraints.
Partner closely with silicon vendors, antenna suppliers, and manufacturing partners to optimize performance.
Identify RF risks early and develop mitigation strategies before design lock.
Support bring-up, validation, OTA testing, and certification efforts with global carriers and regulatory bodies.
Help establish RF engineering processes and best practices.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of RF engineering experience supporting consumer devices.
Proven track record of shipping consumer devices with reasonably complex wireless requirements.
Deep understanding of antenna theory, RF propagation, desense mitigation, and coexistence.
Experience partnering closely with mechanical and electrical teams to influence product architecture.
Hands-on experience with RF validation, OTA testing, and certification processes.
Familiarity working with tier-1 modem platforms (e.g., Qualcomm or similar).
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience serving as RF technical lead on a commercial device.
Strong familiarity with global carrier requirements and certification strategy.
Experience optimizing RF performance within highly space-constrained designs.
Background collaborating directly with antenna vendors.
Experience supporting products through mass production.
Familiarity with SAR requirements and mitigation techniques.
