Broadside is a verticalized advisory and technology platform that is building a single financial operating system that can manage our members’ financial lives by unifying the investment, estate, and tax perspectives. Our goal is to bring data, fair pricing, and transparency to an industry that often fails to deliver on its promise to customers.

Broadside is an SEC-registered wealth advisor. The firm was founded by a team of ex-Millennium, Citadel, and Tiger Management professionals who have spent years building this kind of modeling infrastructure for hedge funds and have experienced the issues our clients face first-hand. We are fully capitalized and are not seeking additional funding. Our team is looking for motivated and results-driven individuals who want to grow a business sustainably and transform the multi-trillion-dollar wealth management industry for the benefit of our customers.

The Role

You'll be one of the first ten employees joining the founding team. You'll own major components of the platform from technical design through production. Your architectural decisions will directly shape how Broadside evolves.

• Build client and advisor-facing UIs: examples include dashboard, liquidity planning tools, data visualizations, onboarding/intake flows, and document review workflows.
• Develop document intelligence systems that transform unstructured financial and legal documents into structured, verifiable data for downstream financial analysis.
• Build systems that reconcile financial data across custodians, model complex ownership structures, automate tax-aware portfolio analysis, and power AI-driven client workflows.
• Leverage cutting-edge AI to improve our firm’s efficiency, surface novel opportunities / strategies, and enhance the client and advisor experience.
• Contribute to engineering standards, tooling, and technical direction alongside the founding team.

This role is primarily in person (each city’s team determines in-office cadence), but we may make exceptions for excellent candidates located outside the Bay / New York Areas.

You've shipped production features end to end in domains where correctness matters: accounting, reconciliation, trading, healthcare, payments, or similar. You are comfortable in a modern frontend framework, understand relational data modeling and API design, and have experience building cloud-native applications. You want ownership over outcomes and are seeking to make a large impact. You are curious, self-motivated, and work or experiment actively with AI.

Technical Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or STEM-related discipline
• 3+ years of development experience in TypeScript and/or Python
• Experience with React or a comparable frontend framework

-Consumer facing development experience

• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
• Strong communication and attention to detail
• Ability to operate in a demanding and fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience building or deploying systems that utilize services provided by AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience building production systems with LLMs, retrieval pipelines, or agent frameworks
• Contribution to open-source projects

Compensation

• $175-250K salary, based on experience
