Technical Sourcing Manager
Autonymy is building the data infrastructure backbone that America's most critical operations depend on. We design and manufacture intelligent, multi-WAN edge devices that ensure resilient data orchestration in the world's most demanding environments—from defense operations to industrial facilities, energy infrastructure, and mining operations. Our technology replaces legacy radio systems with next-generation solutions built for reliability, ruggedization, and intelligent network orchestration at the edge. As robotics and autonomous systems reshape how critical work gets done, we're providing the foundational infrastructure that makes it possible. We're a team of builders solving hard problems that matter, and we're looking for talented engineers and operators who want to work on technology that strengthens American capabilities and industrial leadership.
As the first TSM at Autonymy, you will own our end-to-end logistics strategy, vendor execution, and routing programs that keep our manufacturing lines and deployment sites operating seamlessly. Operating at the intersection of supply chain management, technical project leadership, and carrier operations, you will lead complex logistics initiatives, negotiate critical agreements, and build resilient distribution pathways. We are looking for a technically inclined supply chain leader and project manager who can leverage existing industry relationships, solve complex network constraints, and drive ultra-reliable logistics in fast-paced environments where execution is critical.
What You'll Do
- Logistics & Sourcing Strategy: Design, implement, and optimize logistics networks to support edge hardware manufacturing, component distribution, and field deployments.
- Program & Project Leadership: Drive large-scale logistics and supply chain programs from initial scope through execution, establishing clear timelines, risk mitigation plans, and cross-functional alignment.
- Carrier & Relationship Management: Negotiate contracts, RFPs, SOWs, and Master
- Purchase Agreements with logistics providers and 3PLs while leveraging existing industry relationships to secure reliable capacity and competitive commercial terms.
- Technical & Operational Collaboration: Partner closely with hardware engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to translate complex physical hardware and infrastructure requirements into seamless logistics workflows.
- Analytics & Optimization: Build operational dashboards, analyze routing performance, and track key logistics metrics to eliminate bottlenecks, minimize root cause defects, and continuously reduce landed costs.
- End-to-End Ownership: Manage day-to-day tactical logistics troubleshooting, carrier escalation workflows, and real-time problem-solving to ensure uninterrupted operational continuity.
- What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in global supply chain management, freight logistics, or commodity management, with specific emphasis on prior work as an engineer.
- Demonstrated experience acting as a project or program manager, successfully leading cross-functional supply chain initiatives from concept through execution.
- Strong technical inclination with an aptitude for understanding complex hardware components, manufacturing constraints, and physical infrastructure.
- Proven track record of leveraging existing carrier and vendor relationships to secure capacity, drive accountability, and navigate market constraints.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills (RFPs, RFQs, SOWs, and SLAs).
- High analytical capability with experience using data to solve complex logistics problems and optimize routing networks.
- Energy and drive to thrive in a high-ownership startup environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to audit logistics nodes and support operational readiness.
Nice to have
- Background as a former engineer (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems
- Engineering).
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or an MBA.
- Experience managing logistics for high-reliability hardware, defense electronics, or ruggedized industrial products.
- Knowledge of specialized freight packaging, dangerous goods regulations (e.g., lithium batteries), or customs compliance.
- Please note: Autonymy is a startup, which means priorities shift and evolve quickly. Your role may expand or change based on the needs of the business at any given time, so the responsibilities listed may not be exhaustive.
- What we provide:
- Great pay (including equity) and benefits
- Mission-driven environment rooted in engineering rigor
