The job description

Tech stack. 10 CFR 50.90 license amendments, NRC correspondence, regulatory commitments tracking, technical specifications, inspection support, enforcement response, licensing basis documents

About the role

You will manage the plant's relationship with the regulator for a nuclear power utility, preparing the submittals that request permission and responding to the questions that follow. The team owns license amendments, inspection responses, and regulatory commitments across the site. You will write with precision, track every commitment, and ensure the plant's licensing basis stays accurate. This role matters because the operating license is the plant's permission to exist, and your work maintains the regulatory trust that keeps it valid. You will also manage the plant's response to NRC bulletins and generic letters, evaluating applicability with technical depth. Your regulatory issue summaries will give plant leadership clear, actionable understanding of complex requirements. You will maintain the docket of correspondence with the discipline of an archivist, because every commitment must be traceable. Your inspection preparation will be thorough enough that the plant welcomes scrutiny rather than fearing it. Your commitment tracking database will be the single source of truth for every regulatory promise.
