The job description
Tech stack. C (MISRA), AUTOSAR Classic, ISO 26262, CAN/CAN FD/Ethernet, Vector tools (CANoe/CANalyzer), UDS diagnostics, EB tresos or Davinci
About the role
You will join an automotive Tier 1 supplier developing body and chassis control modules for major OEMs. The embedded team works inside the AUTOSAR framework under ISO 26262 functional safety, where every requirement is traced and every change is reviewed. This role matters because your software runs in vehicles on public roads: correctness is not a preference, it is a legal and moral obligation, and the team's discipline is what makes that possible.
What you will achieve
- Ship AUTOSAR-compliant software components for a body control module through two vehicle program milestones (SOP minus 12 months and SOP) with zero late deliverables, and all work products accepted at each quality gate review
- Drive ASIL B(D) work products for your components: hazard analysis inputs, safety requirements, and verification evidence that pass independent assessment without major findings, with assessment reports archived as program evidence
- Reduce CAN bus integration issues by authoring and validating DBC files and signal timing, cutting network-related defects by 35% across the program, measured from system integration test through vehicle validation
- Build a UDS diagnostics implementation (services 0x22, 0x2E, 0x31, 0x34/0x36/0x37) that passes OEM acceptance testing on first submission
- Own module-level integration testing with HIL rigs, achieving 100% requirements coverage on your assigned software components before each gateway review
What you will bring
Must-haves
- 2-5 years in automotive embedded software with AUTOSAR Classic, including BSW configuration, RTE integration, and SWC development
- Strong MISRA C discipline and experience with static analysis tools such as Polyspace or QAC, including deviation justification
- Working knowledge of ISO 26262 concepts: ASIL levels, safety plans, verification methods, and confirmation measures
- Hands-on CAN/CAN FD experience with Vector CANoe/CANalyzer for simulation, rest-bus simulation, and testing
- Familiarity with UDS (ISO 14229) diagnostics and bootloader/flashing workflows used in production and service
- Experience with requirements management and traceability in tools such as DOORS or Polarion
- Ability to work within ASPICE-style processes without losing engineering momentum or cutting corners on evidence
Nice-to-haves
- AUTOSAR Adaptive or SOME/IP exposure from pilot projects or platform evaluations
- Cybersecurity awareness for automotive ECUs, including familiarity with ISO/SAE 21434 concepts
- Experience with multi-core lockstep MCUs such as AURIX or RH850
